LARS is designed to be folded to fit in a standard ISO container, thus providing ease of transportation. This also allows the LARS to be safely stored and maintained when the equipment is not being used operationally.
The launch and recovery systems have been specifically designed to give a compact operating footprint to minimize the deck space required onboard a vessel or barge.
